Frequently asked questions
What is the maximum term for temporary work?
Up to 180 days, consecutive or not, extendable by up to 90 days when it is shown that the conditions that justified the hire still apply (Brazilian Law 6,019/1974, art. 10).
Can I hire the temporary worker permanently later?
Yes. A permanent hire is your company's decision, and the terms are set out in the contract.
Is temporary staffing the same as outsourcing?
No. A temporary worker meets a transitional need, with activities directed by your company. Outsourcing is the ongoing delivery of a service managed by Select.
